"He needs a massive transfusion of O.P.M. -- Other People's Money."

DONATE!   And tell us if you want to be listed among our SUPPORTERS, by name or as Anonymous.

  • Easiest donations are cash, checks, or Costco gift cards delivered in person or by mail (we get 100% immediately).  To donate by mail, write your check payable to Eve Sutton, and write MortMelt on the memo line. Mailing address: 216 Daphne, 94303.  Also send email (click DONATION COMING!) telling Eve to watch for your donation. THANK YOU!

  • To donate online using CREDIT CARD, DEBIT CARD or PAYPAL account, click the yellow button (we get 97%, after 3% service fee). THANK YOU!
  • Domo arigato (どうもありがとう) to several Japanese donors! We did not get your email addresses, but we do appreciate your donations through PayPal.

  • If you make a large cash donation through our non-profit financial sponsor, or if you make an "in-kind" donation (food, supplies, materials), you might be eligible for a tax deduction. See below.
  • MORTGAGE MELTDOWN: THE MUSICAL is funded 100% by private donations from individuals and small businesses. It's a simple, powerful equation:

NO corporate sponsors + NO grants funded by financial institutions = NO censorship.

Will you receive a tax deduction for your donation?  That depends...

    1)  If you send a normal-sized cash contribution directly to Eve Sutton (in person, by check, or using the yellow Donate button), you will NOT get a tax deduction.  On the other hand, every dollar is used very efficiently, so a little goes a long way.  And... Everything that is funded by donors is made available FREE to the public, right here on this website, for personal use and community action. THANK YOU!

    2)  A very large financial donation might be tax deductable, but we need 1-3 weeks to arrange for this. Our non-profit partner, Midpeninsula Community Media Center, will use 7% of your donation to cover administrative fees, plus another 3% if the donation is made by credit card. Start by clicking QUESTION ABOUT FINANCIAL DONATION to send email about your proposed gift.  THANK YOU!

    3) Any "in-kind" donation of office supplies, costumes, scenery, meals for cast and crew, etc. might be tax-deductible, if you can wait a few weeks for the "thank you" letter from our non-profit partner.  Start by clicking QUESTION ABOUT IN-KIND DONATION to send email about your proposed gift, or to ask what supplies are needed now.  THANK YOU!

    Financial Report:
The first donations arrived in March, 2013.  From March, 2013 through August, 2013, we received 27 donations ($2,229.56 after credit card fees). From September, 2013 through June, 2014, we received another 21 donations ($1649.67 after credit card fees).

This funding contributed to the arrangement of sheet music and digital melodies, produced ever-better drafts of our music CDs and song booklets, established this website, added curriculum links for college Economics classes and public education, and covered some of the expenses for office supplies, postage, meals for volunteers during rehearsals, etc.

Now we need several times that amount to cover the full production! We will need increased funding to produce the fully scored soundtrack, the stage production, the broadcast for public access television, the Internet broadcast, and the college curriculum. Using a lot of volunteer labor and making the best use of our paid resources, we should finish far below the "ultra-low budget" of producing a two-hour indie film or typical college textbook.

Help Make It Happen! We have plenty of red ink to explain this Mortgage Meltdown. What more do we need? YOU!
