PERFORM! Singers, actors, and crew will find many opportunities to use their skills.  For most events and jobs, no audition required.

Summer, 2014: Cast, crew, assistants and sponsors... We need you for:

Table readings to test different parts of the script. See notes below.

Training videos (short scenes, videotaped for broadcast, with actors and props). Click CastList1pg.pdf  for plot summary and quick "who's who"

Singing session at a recording studio in Mountain View, California. We invite any singers who sing comfortably in a choir or chorus. All voices are welcome (Soprano, Alto, Treble/Child, Tenor, Baritone, Bass) and we might need a Music Director to lead the chorus.  See notes below.

NOTES: For all table readings and singing sessions: Wear soft shoes, and fuzzy, quiet fabrics that absorb sound. Dress in layers; the studio is kept cool for the equipment. Cell phones must be turned OFF (airplane mode) while we rehearse and record.

Please give your schedule, including specific dates when you are available, as you request PERFORMANCE INFO by email.

Huge thanks in advance to all singers and helpers for making this happen! We can't pay you, but at least you will get:

  • clever, moving songs you can send to family, friends, bankers, mortgage brokers, Congress!

  • early practice for those who might audition in Aug/Sept, 2014

  • actors and singers can have the first look at videos (or first listen to audio tracks) after editing, and can post the links on their own websites

  • public thanks on the mortmelt.com website (optional, if you want it)

  • quick tour of the Media Center, a public access TV studio with many award-winning programs that are produced without commercial sponsorship by regular folks in the community

  • tasty, nutritious dinner and snacks, including options for those with restricted diets and allergies
